# Crew Obelisk Building - Tier 7 or Tier 8?

The **Crew Obelisk** building (earned in Crew events) shows a **tier 7** rating when you hover over it. However, if you use it to evolve a monument, it fills TWO ‘slots’ on the meter, like a **tier 8** building.

Is ‘Tier 7’ a typo?

You are absolutely right @MeGroot! They are worth 200 gems (Tier 8) in evolving monuments, even though they are labeled as a 100 gem (Tier 7) building. I don’t know if they pay out or increase your city value like a Tier 8 - but I suspect that it is a typo.

So if I get this correct then, we can’t actually evolve an obelisk. Booo to this. I was looking forward to seeing what it evolves into. But if you go to your city and click either “ **Monument Maker** ” or “ **Evolve Monument** ”, it’s not an option for either of those. It only shows as an option to choose as a contribution to the evolution of any other Tier7 monument… not for evolving the Crew Obelisk itself. Boooo to that. ☹ 👎

I agree that the Crew Obelisk would be beautiful to evolve. Maybe CW will offer the option one day.
