I think they should add a sad face to the reply button, because I was sad for you this morning when I saw it was another dog and I actually love dogs.
I think the trend, NC (Names Called) parties started because those that throw or attend these kind of parties are looking to not only bust the party meter, but they want to collect larger quantities of a specific charm that cannot be found in the party venues list. The two that I have seen the most of are Chopper parties and Yacht parties. Both of those charms can only be acquired from a VIP that decides to toss them during a party. They are not an option to select as the main party charm in any of the venues. So the people that are trying to acquire larger volumes of these charms and also want to bust the party meter cannot post a Party Blitz with either of them as an option. This has resulted in people creating NC (Names Called) or Honor parties, to accommodate those that want them and can afford to participate. Anyone throwing this type of party needs the be very clear in the description of what the requirements are of the attendees.
I don’t have a problem with these types of parties being on the board. If I don’t like that type of thing, or can’t afford it, or don’t like the charm being tossed, I don’t go. It’s no different than if I want to attend a Blitz party. If I can’t afford the entry fee plus the Blitz fee, or I don’t like the Blitz charm, I don’t go to that particular party. The people that post and host parties pay a fee to host their party. And that’s just it - It’s their party, in their city, in their venue, that they paid for. They get to call the shots. It’s not for the rest of us to tell them how to run their own parties. And remember, this is only a thing because the particular charms being required to be tossed are VIP charms that are only available for selection from the charm bar during an active party. They are not made available as a Venue party charm, if that makes sense. It’s a work around for holding a Blitz party, when that particular Blitz isn’t made available from the party creation screen.
Yes, hosts need to make their party expectations very visible and very clear in the description box and party name, to make sure people do not join that are going to be unprepared for the event. AND, they should set the party to VIP only if the charm being required is a VIP only charm. This will prevent lot of disappointment on everyone’s end.

I just had this happen to me! … but I actually had already dropped 3+ choppers and still got my name called out! What the heck
Ricky – I’ve heard from a couple of different people very similar stores. One person attended a chopper party and they also tossed their required charms. The person tracking the names etc wasn’t paying attention. They got booted and blocked. What a complete shame. Not even given a chance to say hey, “I threw my charms” or ask the party room to confirm they did so. Just booted and blocked. Which also meant that they did not get to finish collecting the charms from the other participants. Very poor handling. My take on this is if that’s how the host wants to behave, then I have no desire to attend any of their parties ever again. Good riddance to them. I’m sorry that happened to you. I know it is extremely frustrating.
