I don’t think so. Before I was VIP, CW reloaded coins every time I busted. Finally, scored 100 million coins in Sea of Riches and my trajectory has been upward ever since. Just be aware that the games are ancillary to city building, charms, and parties. CW facilitates these more favorably for VIPs. For instance, you will see a parallel VIP track when completing challenges.
