Just wanted to say its a shame that i cant just GIVE my avatar tokens to others w/o paying gems to do it. Im sitting on almost 20k of them and i dont use them at all lol. Such a waste.

Because gems are the currency of the game. You can’t send someone your extra party passes either, you need to spend gems to send them. You can’t send someone extra building bucks, you need to spend gems. So by the same token, you can’t send them extra avatar coins, you need to spend gems to send them.
I think what everyone is getting at is that Gems and Party Passes and Building Bucks help you advance in the game, and therefore, should be bought to give away.
Avatar tokens however, do nothing to advance your game in any way. They are only cosmetic additions to your avatar. Thus, it should be easy to give away something that has no potential value to the game.

thats silly lol, The tokens dont advance your progress in any way!!! And its a stupid amount of gems to send these useless tokens to others who actually want them. i honestly dont see why anyone would even argue otherwise, but hey, if u think avatar tokens are the same as passes,gems or BB then so be it.
its a feature that ultimately generates revenue for CW.
so from a business perspective gifting avatar tokens is the same as building bucks & passes ie. players are required to spend gems to do so.

The only reason I wont spend money on Avatar tokens, is because they have no value on the advancement of the game. They are simply ‘cosmetic’. I would rather spend money on Gems or Building Bucks as that monetary value is then transferred to the gain of my city or my ability to buy charms. Thus, enhancing the game further. The object of the game!
Personally, i see no inherent value in Avatar tokens,

I’m just throwing my two cents here…The game made avatar tokens for the reason they want you to buy and spend your gems. In my experience, more gems will be amassed to you as you move up in levels (various factors dependent on your level of play/city, etc.) so why not spend a portion of it in the CW boutique? When my wife played, I told her why she needs to spend so many gems on outfits, telling her she only goes to the lobby and a party or two. Why not put it in your city?? She says its because the pure enjoyment of living vicariously through an avatar. Well…., even if you don’t know how to play at least you can look good trying!
