I recognize a lot of recent posts here have been complaints (myself included) about the charm storage changes, party etiquette, possible nerfing of reward, among other things. I thought in honor of Thanksgiving, I want to change the focus to gratitude.
Earlier this year, we had devastating wildfires where I live. While the fires were raging in the Palisades and Altadena, I was sent a text message warning that we might have to evacuate due to a new fire that started just north of us in the Hollywood Hills above Sunset Blvd. (Fortunately, that fire was quickly contained, so we stayed safe.) In that moment of thinking about evacuating, I looked at my contacts on my phone and realized there were at least 20 friends I could call who would let us stay with them for a few days – including our dogs. When I think of people who have to stay in shelters during fires, hurricanes, floods, etc, I wonder does that mean they have no one they can call, no money to stay in a hotel? It makes me realize how grateful I am to have friends that can help me out, and money to help me through hard times.
I also want to express gratitude to my gaming friends here, and just remind everyone how a little kindness can make even the cranky people crack a smile.
I also want to thank the programmers and support folks at Flowplay who keep the game going, trying to keep it fun for us while still trying to make money. And a special shout out to @Samantha who has the challenging job of dealing with cranky customers and overwhelmed coders. Keeping an older game fresh and running properly is always a difficult task.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. ![]()
