I think the special pets are for big spenders
There was an option to gift a pet to our friends or even buy it ourselves. It was located in the same menu where we would send a rose/hug/passes/ etc. The only one I saw was a brown dog with a red scarf, maybe around the Fall season? I hope they bring this back!
