New item called Luxe

We get a bunch of things we have to ‘pay’ for, but still no gems in Sea of Riches.

I’m wondering if you can turn them off?

Yesterday, one of the other players in a party told me in the room chat about the Luxe. I went to luxe to find out what it had available. I rented some flying bats for an hour just to try them out. Now, I’m saving my gems as they trickle in to get 1,500 and buy the forever flying bats. Stay batty, my friends!

I thought of you, @CruisinPast, when I saw the bats. They reminded me of the kazillion bat parties you have hosted over the years.

Then I saw you in a party with the bats and it looked totally right as part of your avatar.

Some of the other auras and flaming ones feel awkward in a full party room.

Great strategy. That’s the way you make it to lifer and beyond. Buying useless pets and such only delays your advance.

I tried it last night and didn’t see any advantage to it…maybe that’s me, but I didn’t notice my win/lose averages changing.

I’ve been looking foreward to an Elephant, a Siamese Cat, and a Zebra, and a Tiger, and a Turtle.

To all those who enjoy telling everyone how stupid they are for spending their gems on such things what’s it to you? I’m getting a tiger the first chance I get.

They’re for decoration only, there is no game play advantage attached to the items in Luxe Samantha confirmed it on a different thread New Feature: Luxe Store

I agree Mister Kev it’s not anyone’s business what anyone buys or does here, Too many have way too much time on their hands to comment every post in forum anyway. But it be nice if the pet store was a giftable one too for those who can’t afford the gems and some could gift them too

I agree with not getting into other peoples business on here. Its deplorable.

The new auras cost gems instead of avatar points. We have all bought avatars with our points. The auras are different only in that they cost gems. I held out for gems from my treasure boxes and such and I chose to use 1,500 of those gems to add an aura to my avatar. The auras only add a little to our avatars and don’t help with our advancement in any way. Still, I do not regret spending my gems for a backpack full of Dracula’s spawn. If we can’t have fun, what are we doing here?

I think I read in the CW guide to this new feature that it will let you know if you are trying to buy a pet that you already own @LA_13 - I know it’s not quite what you were asking for but it would stop you duplicating a pet

Oh absolutely - they cost to have them (I think coins - maybe gems, I don’t remember…not that it matters), but they have absolutely NO impact on the actual games.

It certainly gets expensive…I am thrifty too lol

so if i change avatars, i lose the aura? even if i buy the permanent one? am i missing something?

you just click your profile - then change avatar - then click the glamour button to re-equip your aura - no extra charge
