My avatar has disappeared and I can’t see anyone elses in the party room. This is annoying and I have done nothing to create this problem. Any Ideas?

Reloading should solve the problem. And just reload before going to a party and after it.
This happens to me all of the time.. I enter a party room and can see the names, but only a couple of avatars are visible. Sometimes mine is also invisible for a moment. It’s a lag issue. The graphics are not loading, slow to load or maybe even freezing up. If you are technically inclined and understand how to clear cookies, clear browser history, update your browser, maybe update your computer if there are any pending updates for Windows, updates drivers, etc. All of these things can help free up computer resources for this resource heavy game.
But – it may not be you, it could very well be a CW issue such as a server(s) with too much traffic flow, of something else.
As Ancient Echos mentioned, I’ve noticed improvements with clearing my cookies/cache, too.
I’ve also had good luck turning off “Party Invites” and allowing “Private Whisper” under Systems within the game, especially during high-traffic times.
It seems like both the East and West Coast are partying around 6–9 PM Central, so during that time I turn off party invites and it really seems to help. The loading issues, avatars not showing in the room, showing offline, stalls in the game, and getting kicked out of parties all seem to go away.
Might be worth giving it a try.
