A Possible Solution for 'Invisible' Blocked Avatars at Parties

Tired of not being able to see the blocked person at a party? Don’t know if they are in front, side, or behind you?… Well I’am. Let’s fix this problem CW.

I suggest an invisible “Backroom” solution for parties.

A Backroom is an invisible room that no one is visible in but those who choose to be in it are still participating at the party.

Your name will continue to appear on the ‘Room List’ but you will not be visible in the party room. Your chat will continue to appear on the ‘Chat Log’ but you will no longer see the visible bubble over your head because you will be in the Backroom.
You can toss charms but it will come out of the back wall of the party room because you are in the Backroom.

This option could be a pop-up at the beginning at every party but also a permanent option button we can press whenever we choose. Whatever point in the party we feel uncomfortable we get to leave the room to go to the Backroom. Never leaving the party and never leaving your place at the party that you have every right to be in!

This would solve the harassers’ friends locating you for the harasser. The gang mentality will be stopped.

All options of the blocked features would be the same such that the blocked avatar remains invisible, you do not see their chat, etc. There is no need of changing any features that are already put in place.

This will also solve the problem of those who prefer to hide or choose not to be seen but still be at the party, those who AFK or those who choose simply not to socialize.

I hope this solution will be considered as it still an ongoing concern. We can’t control others bullying behaviours but at least we can think of solutions to prevent from seeing it, hearing it and knowing it.

There must be a lot going on at parties I am oblivious to - is there really that much drama going on in CW?

Hey @Jason_Des I’ll link an older post of numerous people describing their opinions about the new addition to the blocking feature and their personal experiences: new changes to blocking feature? You can decide if there is too much drama going on in CW.

Thank you for the link, and just wow - I’ve been on here for a couple years now, and guess I am oblivious or just don’t notice. I get it everyone has different experiences, but guess I’ve been blessed.

‘Knowledge Is Power’. The more you know the better you will be able to navigate through this game. I’m not sure if women experience this sort of behaviour more than men or vice versa but it does affect us all.
If CW made a Blocking Feature and also enhanced it recently (the invisible feature) then it would be a good assumption that this issue is still ongoing.

This the best solution and solves all problems with being blocked or blocking someone at all parties.

It’s brilliant, no more problems at any parties with anyone.

Just get your stuff and go, if you’re being bothered just go in the invisible room and wala! there you go. I would be amazed if CW doesn’t put this invisible room in place.

In my opinion only Bullies and Tyrants would not like this idea, hence the very little responses to this post is eerie to say the least.

Hi @Relic_Hunter, you’re right about those hiding spots. I’m currently creating a guide that will list all the “blind spots” where an avatar can be completely hidden in party venues.

As a related resource, you might be interested in the guide I recently published about “Secret Spots” (the high-up ledges). The guide for the true “hiding spots” will be my second post, coming soon!

Thank you @Night_Guy for your post reply. I appreciate your solution for those who want to be ‘hidden’ at a party as those ‘spots’ already exist in our party venues. The option is there and can be used by everyone now. Looking forward to your upcoming post of “true hiding spots”!
I will link your “secret spots” post here for everyone: Guide to Party Venues and Their Secret Spots + Hidden locations

On my original post, I envisioned the “Backroom” option as this concept already exist.

When we enter the Roulette room, Slot room, Fringo room, etc.…we are in the room where we only see ourselves listed in the “Room List” (left column of the screen) but do not see our full avatar on the main screen while playing. We continue to interact and participate within those games but the need to see other avatars or ourselves is not necessary.

Having that option during a party for an avatar either choosing not to enter and not to be seen on the main screen, should not affect the players intention to obtain the charms, toss charms or even chat with others.

All it does is remove the angst of being in the same room with the blocked/blocker who is invisible. This gives the certainty that you are definitely not dancing on top of them. Many of the complaints I’ve read have been avatars entering other avatars personal space which is the main concern with the invisible feature.

If it was a perfect world in CW, there would be no blocking and everyone would not feel the need to hide but its not. What do you think Night Guy, does the “Backroom” seem to be a viable solution?
