I mostly go to Unicorn parties, which most people hold in Cafe Omega. But I get bored sometimes, and want to have a party in some other place, like Moonlit Beach. So here is the method of choosing the venue you want for the charm you want.
Go to your party room with the charm you want to have. I want Unicorns, so I go to my Cafe Omega.
Go to parties and click create a party.
Pick the Party Room that you want. I pick Moonlit Beach.
Now pick the charm that you want and what shows up is the list for the party room you are in! I choose Unicorns
When the party occurs, the guests will choose additional charms from the room the party is in. So if my Unicorn party is at Moonlit Beach, the charms are cola, moonblock, etc,
So hosts, lets get creative and not have all the Unicorn parties in Cafe Omega please.
That’s a little-known secret, but yes, that’s how I ensure we still get unicorns on the beach. The only caveat is that you can’t toss unicorns in that party room; you can only use what that room originally offers.
Make sure your party building is part of your city before you create the party, otherwise, early entry won’t be available. Another issue is that people are used to a specific room, so hosting a unicorn party in a different room leads to confusion, with guests showing up in the wrong room. I end up having to go to the regular room to redirect them to the correct party room. Having only 1 party building in your city will reduce the confusion. You may have to constantly move your buildings if you have a particular city layout you like.
But you have to have the building which originally offers you the unicorn as a charm, because if you don’t you can’t have a unicorn party nowhere. If i get what you said right. I don’t have the Cafe Omega building yet, so i can’t have a unicorn party in none of my party venues.
Sadly, this is no longer working. It must have been changed in a CW update. It would be nice to bring it back so we could have Unicorn parties in some of these new party rooms.
I only host Unicorn Parties in my Ultra Modern Party Venue. I wasn’t sure if the new venues hosted Uni’s or not and I didn’t want to buy one until I knew.
We used to be able to go to our own party room, then create a party in a different room using the charms of the room we currently reside in.
For example, I would go to my Cafe Omega. Then I would create a party on Midnight Beach being able to select a charm from Cafe Omega - Unicorns. This is outlined at the top of this thread.
Some recent update changed that feature - it no longer works.
What we would like is to be able to use the new rooms in that way. What would be even better is if the default charms for the new rooms were novel, never seen in any other party rooms.
I would certainly purchase one of the new party rooms, but only if I can hold parties with more flexibility on the charms we select.
I’m not sure if that behavior can be applied to the new party venues, but I can pass along the requests to have different Charms available in the venues.
