Currently you can choose to be notified about parties you want to attend. However the reminder doesn’t come to you until the party starts. I would like to suggest that we get party reminders 5-10 minutes before the party starts so we can finish up what we are doing and get into the party early. Too many times a reminder happens and the party has already filled or I can’t stop what I’m doing on the spot and go. Advance notice of several minutes would be really helpful. Also, party hosts should automatically get an advance notice whether they select to be notified or not – Hosts lose track of time too and miss their parties or can’t get in because it fills quickly. Let me know your thoughts CW and the possibility of implementing this.

It’s simple enough to set another reminder for a party that you don’t intend to go to that starts 5 minutes earlier. When that reminder pops up, you can just close it out and then you know you have 5 minutes left to finish whatever you’re doing before the party you do want to attend starts.
