Maybe make a change to the party timer to when it hits 5 people it starts. So many large parties fail to fill by just a person or two when they decide to leave at the last minute and the timer doesn’t start. This would be a huge advantage for CW and the players by making this simple change.
@GoldNugget, I have a feeling the party you attended was an overflow, which is likely why it ended prematurely. However, it could also have been near the end of the 30-minute window for the main party.
Main parties have a 30-minute window to fill, which is usually sufficient - if they don’t fill, the demand simply isn’t there. However, overflows often get 10 minutes or less, which is frequently inadequate. I have personally experienced my own overflow parties ending before the countdown timer even starts well over 50 times now, with 20+ people already joined. It is incredibly frustrating to reach 20-24 attendees only to have the party end abruptly because the fill-time expired. Since there is clearly high participation at that point, the system shouldn’t allow these parties to fail.
@Samantha, would it be possible to look into not having the party end if there are already enough people (20 or more) to start the timer?
Just to add another important point on why the threshold matters for main parties: we also have to consider the balance between blitz parties that are meant to bust and standard ones.
If a blitz party starts with too few people - such as only 20 attendees - it becomes significantly harder for that party to bust. Instead of busting instantly, individual players often have to drop far more charms just to reach the final bust prize. Maintaining a higher initial count helps ensure the party hits its goal efficiently without requiring a small group of people to spend so much more to get the same result.
In fact, I would like to request the option to host parties with up to 50 attendees. Many times, both my main party and the first overflow fill up before the scheduled time even begins. It would be a great quality-of-life feature to be able to select the number of attendees required to fill a party.
Specifically, having a 10-attendee option would be a huge help for parties involving charms that are typically harder to fill. It would make those niche parties much easier to get started. Having a range of options like 10, 20, 25, or 50 would be a fantastic addition to the game. Just a thought!
