I’ve noticed some real-world politics showing up in public areas of CW lately, especially in party names.
While I know political chat is allowed in its own space, I was hoping we could all agree to keep that content off the main party board.
For many of us, this game is a much-needed break from the real world. Seeing political stuff here can pull us right out of the fun and relaxation we come for.
What people post on their own walls or in private messages is their business, but the party board is a shared space. I know Samantha advises to block, but I’d rather not block people just because of that; it just doesn’t feel right to do so based on opinion. I’m hoping we can work together to keep this area light and focused on the game.
I know what you mean. I don’t mind subtle nods to political leanings or what people post on their profiles, but spouting off political opinions in public spaces is simply uncouth. I would rather we focus on the things we have in common and that bring us together in CW.
Absolutely agree, with political and religious views not being on party boards. We come here to relax and have fun not be in between debates on individual views
I FULLY agree! I come here to relax and have fun in a happy virtual world of games and city building. Chatting with friends I have made about regular life stuff. No politics or drama. If i want drams and politics, then i log off here and re-join the real world again.
I come here to escape from the world for a little while and have fun!! Personally, i wont go to a party that does not represent that drama politic free-zone.
I totally agree guys. You have the right to believe in anything you want, but this is not a place to bring political arguements, or even religious ones. As Nash said, i’m here to relax from the anxiety of everyday life, not fill my life with more.
