LOL, it seems to me that if i dont actually buy the gems it would take me years to make a decent city. Am i correct in thinking this or am i missing something? I was just hoping to play a game, but from what i can tell to really be able to achieve anything i will absolutely need to spend quite a bit of real money lol. i dont see any way around it unless i wanna spend YEARS to be viable lol. And i thought world of warcraft was exspensive lol.

I think you can play the games without building a city providing you are either (or possibly both) a very skilled gambler or exceedingly lucky and don’t need to use charms to supplement your winnings or mitigate your losses. Do the challenges and win the prizes. Go to the help forum and seek out Night Guy’s tips & tricks posting, it’ll give you a good insight into how to the site works

I’ve been working this account for almost 17 months now, and my city is decently built up and I’m sooo close to MS70 - and the best part - other than paying for VIP, I havent bought anything. My strategy has been to put every gem I get into my city, and forget the “advice” out there - I have my suspicions about some of the overly helpful persons LOL
But short answer - you can do it without spending money… Good luck!

As Jason has said, you do not have to spend a lot or any amount to build your city which produces better and bigger rewards. I have never purchased gems or VIP or anything else and I have a bank of 245616 gems to spend when I get ready to. I also reached my birthyear today of 1956 consecutive login days which also helps. I am also retired which gives me the extra time to open my treasure boxes. So, hang in there.
