Is it really worth evolving or building monuments ?……I have noticed a sharp decline in coins and or prizes when doing so

I’ve experienced a sudden drop in tier ranking when I evolve a lot of monuments in one session, few coins and green boxes. In the long game, it pays to have level 4 monuments.
