Upgrading building part 2

I know I presently have a building that shows it can be upgraded. How long does this last? I don’t have the ‘coinage’ needed yet.

The upgrade arrow doesn’t show now. Sigh

The upgrade option shows up randomly, but it will pop up again for you. Just be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Thank you, Samantha.

Hi, just an opinion because it makes sense for me. Don’t try to upgrade your buildings because then you’ll only remain with one building which costs the exact same amount of building bucks as it will cost to just buy the building itself. Try to buy new buildins and make them into monuments. Don’t buy buildings smaller than 6 tier, this won’t help yoy longterm. After a while the monuments can be evolved in greater ones and will give you more rewards.

YES, TYVM! Upgrading is a BAD thing if you are Building your City. Only Good if your are Collecting Special Buildings.

Upgraded buildings are larger Tier which in the long run will pay out more and increase your overall Tier rank which leads to better treasure Box prizes and so on…

Yes, I agree. If you are a Building Collector, then that would be a collector item those upgraded buildings you would have paid a little extra for. I’ve noticed the Willy Buildings that I would like to have discontinued  or the Stadium, the Grand Opry Building…Never know when CW will discontinue a building that you always liked to have.

Those sound cool… Maybe if we ask nicely?

@Mister_Kev, Polina & Steve are saying that you can just buy a separate building for the same price and keep BOTH…so why upgrade and lose the original building?

That being said, I HAVE seen upgrades in some pretty advanced cities. Is that just “collecting”, or do they know something we don’t?

ps. I’m referring to upgrades NOT given as Seasonal or Milestone rewards.

I noticed the upgrades on the buildings we can buy. I have also noted that there are buildings I haven’t gotten to (yet).

Over time a Tier 8 Eternal Rest will pay out more in coins and Charms than two Hotel Spookeds (Tier 6). Plus count for more towards a Monument Build later if you get tired of it even with the extra upgrade cost. And it looks cool! Don’t know any other way to explain it.

Just my humble opinion again…but i saw the cities which are at the legend tier and i think that they buy the buildings, upgrade them into monuments and then upgrade the monuments, not the buildings. They only keep the buildings which are used for parties, because those can’t be upgraded. If i’m wrong sorry in advance!

Can anyone tell me why it does not recognize my tier 3 4 5 6 buildings when I want to build a monument after I have built and evolved several monuments already. Is it because they were not upgradeable on some of them. On all my tier 4 5 6 I made sure they were all upgradeable. I made monuments out of everything I can because it pays me better and the evolve them as soon as I can each time. I am still new at this only about six week of doing it,

Danny you can use the smaller buildings tier 1-6 to start a Monument. It just takes more of the small tier buildings to make a monument. After that they are to small to use to upgrade to larger monuments. Like Mister Kev said, Higher tier the better. The smallest building I buy regularly are tier 6 buildings just to make monuments. try and keep your building for at the least 3 days before upgrading. then work at replacing them. You need those to start a monument. Then It’s best to buy the highest tier you can afford. Try and buy one building about every 3 days. That’s how long the city stays in the honeymoon stage( City pays out better) Until you get higher up in rank. I always do upgrades to tier up the buildings. Then yes, trade them in to build higher monuments. As soon as you can afford to, start buying tier 11 buildings. They don’t have the Willie buildings anymore but replaced them with the Square Dance hall building when you start collecting those you will get more passes, gems and better charms more coins from your treasure box’s and city building prize on those building can pay out Gems, passes and better charms. The higher tier the better when buying buildings. Hope this helps.

@Danny_Williams Looking at your city, if those are all of your buildings you currently have, then most of them are Party buildings which cannot be used to evolve to a monument unfortunately. As 1GemsJewels suggests, concentrate on buying Tier 6 buildings. 2 Tier 6 can evolve to a Level 1 Monument. Take a look at Cruisinpast profile and in his comments he offers an efficient path to building the different levels of Monuments and what tier buildings to use. It is a slow process and seems impossible, but it just takes time and being as efficient as possible unless you buy a lot of Gems.

How do I know the difference between the buildings so I don’t build party buildings?
And can you destroy unwanted buildings and get part of your building bucks back in any way?

Don’t bother upgrading buildings right now, honestly you wont see much of a change in coin, but in terms of gifts, you’ll collect more little ones. Once you’re upgrading monuments they’ll stop showing buildings that wont matter. You could have a 1000 level ones and I doubt you’d be able to upgrade a 1st tier monument with those, so they aren’t even shown.
Its like buying a house with pennies. A realtor will laugh in your face and leave.
That said, I have a guest v tourist. Tourist has level 3, guest has the original buildings. Guest pulls in more money, charms are 3x as many, and makes more off the treasure box at day 10 then the tourist has at 125. Tourist used all the little ones to make monuments, and its hurting his bottom line in comparison.
Like others are saying tier 6 buildings at ?50gems instead of 1.2 mil building bucks is the way to go. Each tier I believe doubles in cost gem or bb wise. Once you get into upgrading Monuments the system will deny any building that aren’t above tier 6…there is a minimum tier level that shows on the upper right for upgrading monuments.
Creating a monument doesn’t have that restriction.
