So I have 14 buildings that are worthless to me. I can’t use them to create monuments that I could use to upgrade later.
And I can’t destroy them and get any building bucks back from them. I know having the higher tier buildings and monuments is sure giving
Me a lot more coins. I went from a few hundred thousand a day to several million a few times a day. I just don’t get why you can’t use party rooms to build monuments with?
Party rooms are used for the exact reason their name says…having a party in them. Believe me you need them, without them you cannot create a party.
But that should be my choice to have a party room or not and I just need one not 14 so CW should give us the option to use them to make monuments with.
@Danny_Williams The majority of us I think rely on charms from parties to help build coin totals to achieve milestones, the value of charms available varies a little between the different room types so that’s maybe why there are so many; I don’t know I’m just saying how it appears to me from what I’ve seen so far. I was given advice on my city if I wanted to gain more gems and party passes was not to upgrade buildings but buy tier 6 buildings to be able to create a steady stream of level 1 monuments to be able upgrade (with enough of them) & do the same at the next level, then the one after that. Any buildings will earn some coins & rewards
@Mister_Kev, upgrading a Hotel Spooked (t6) to an Eternal Rest (t8) costs 5M BB. That’s the same as the cost of a brand new Tier 8 building! So why not spend the 5M on - let’s say - a Penthouse Hotel (t8), and KEEP the Hotel Spooked (t6), too?
In other words, upgrade = t8 building, whereas new purchase = t8 building PLUS t6 building. So, respectfully, how could upgrading yield more benefits?
I’ve been playing just over 3yrs now. Actually when you are just beginning, you just need to buy what you can afford. Don’t worry about monuments yet. Monuments were created because, we had no more room to put building we bought. Our cities were full. More building the better to start off with. Higher tier are better in the long run. So yes, you can use those lower tier 1-6 to create monuments it just takes more of them. They are not worth much but they do count toward building count and to create monuments. So if you look at my city. You will see there is not a lot of room for more building. So I keep my smaller ones in storage like tier 6 and below. Also have some of my party rooms in storage to make more room. As far as Party rooms go you need them if a specific charm is in only that room and you want or need to host a party. You can put it in storage than take it out as you need it. The more 10 tier and up buildings you have the better the pay out. They can’t be used to create a monument. Though they can be used to tier up to a level 2 and up monument.
Correct that works too. When I buy tier 6 I buy the City View Hotel. So then I use 2 of those to create a monument. So every time I build a monument my city tier goes down for I have less buildings until I replace them. However, I get better charms and my City will climb back up. So just build monuments when you need them for space. That’s just my thoughts and how I do it. Though when a new monument comes out I’m one of the first to want to get it and build it as soon as I can. To show off…lol
Well some like myself have certain buildings for aesthetic reasons as well. Every building in my City that’s not a monument is because I want it there. Some are upgrades because I like them immensely notably Hotel Olympics and Horserace Championships. If you don’t care one bit about your buildings then don’t uograde. Blow up your uniques you can’t replace too while you’re at it. (Candy Emporium, Donut Shop, etc)
@Danny_Williams First you cannot use party buildings in building monuments. As mentioned they are for hosting parties. You are gifted party buildings when completing different Milestone levels. In all there are 22 Party buildings through Milestone 70 which is when you earn VIP for Life.
To see which are party buildings in your city, open your city. Then at the top right click the icon Visit Rooms. The Party buildings will highlight separate from all other buildings and show a purple display with what looks like 2 people in them. Party buildings pay coins each time you collect and also provide you charms by having a green box. Now they do not pay a lot, but it at least it does give you something. Also as mentioned, you can put them in storage then you do not have to see them in your city with buildings that are able to be used for evolving a monument. Each person has to decide what works best for them and how they want their city to look in the end. Hope all the suggestions and information people have offered help you.
Thanks for all the comments, folks! Much appreciated.
I did make one mistake. There are 23 Party Buildings, not 22. Sorry about that.
@Mister_Kev, if you’re getting a building you love at a price you can live with, then upgrading IS a good deal. Perhaps I forgot that “cost” is only one of many ways to measure value.
I wish more experienced players would embrace this forum as you have. Your advice (and theirs) is always appreciated.
Ok, another related question!!! When I opened my TB, noted my latest new building (Horse Race Fields) had an upgrade arrow.
Now, I clicked to see what the upgrade would be. Forgot what it is, but I also did notice that the upgradeable building is not in the Building shop. ???
The Horserace Fields building will upgrade to the Horserace Championship building which is a tier 8 building.
Yes. The only way to get them is via upgrade
You have to Use MonumentMaker for your T1-6 Bldgs to MAKE a L1 Monument (Cost 100Gems) before you can EVOLVE that L1(T7) to a L2 Monument(Cost 900 more Gems) using T7+ Bldgs!
I’m at milestone 51, it seems I’ve been doing this all the wrong way. When I clicked on “building shop” from my city, I scrolled down and found all kind of arrows. I’ve been upgrading $25M on tier 7 and up, and I ended up being broke. So my city just doesn’t move until a month later when I get $25M.
It seems like I need to do baby steps from the bottom up. I do get lots of 4 clove charms, rarely party passes, which I really need the most. 80% of the time it’s coins.
One thing I really learned from this post, is that upgrading a building increases the tier to the next level.
Is this the route I should go for a 6 month newbie?
When I was MS51 I bought all the buildings that I could to build up my city and I upgraded later when I could. As someone else stated, you are paying for the original building and then again for the upgrade. Many use their gems to purchase a building that is the same tier as the building that would have been from any upgrade. You will see the “snowball effect” as time goes by as I did and that was 4 years ago for ms51 and now I am at CR51. I have never bought gems so hang in there and have fun.
Backyard pool is 25 thou, last I saw.
Thank you Bulldozer, I look forward to the future, it’s a long way, and that’s okay. Thank you for sharing your testament! Now that I know I could purchase buildings with gems, that would help tremendously.
