Even though in a roundabout way I’ve been told my L4 buildings are ugly, that they are worthless, that I don’t need more space there is plenty of room in storage, and I apparently don’t understand the workings of the HMPs, I still would like to be able to evolve to an L5 building. This person should keep some opinions to themselves, that is why they cannot post here any longer. I must do something right. crown 170, 11 trillion coins, and over 100 L4s.
Awesome. Keep on keeping on.
@WV_Julie beauty is in the eye of the beholder, looking up and forward is better than looking down and backwards - why not L5? Why stop there the sky’s the limit
Isn’t it easier to achieve if you have something to aim for?
Thank You all for the kind words.
If i had 100 L4’s id want some L5’s as well lol, i dont see what would be ugly about having 100 L4’s, im hoping i have that many some day, i say great job!!
Once you get to 100 L4’s, your city is basically maxed out. The HMP really no longer applies i dont think. The only thing to do really is just keep building and evolving to L4’s. I heard somewhere that 44 L4’s will max out your TB’s.
I think your city is beautiful! Forget about the nay sayers. To each their own. Keep up the great work!
Congrats!
As for ‘that person’, they forget YOU are in charge of YOUR buildings…
Hi @WV_Julie,
All buildings have their place and look good in their own way. L4s are definitely the monuments to aim for since they offer the best prizes - and it’s even better if you wait a bit to collect for that delayed cumulative gratification!
I can only think of one person who constantly whines about L4s, but it is what it is. Like it or not, they are here to stay and most players will eventually evolve toward them. There’s a reason why almost all the top players have so many! Some people do get bored and start using decorations to supplement their cities, and honestly, some of those custom designs look pretty cool.
Hi @NashRivers - I believe it’s actually 23 x L4s to max things out, unless CW changed something recently (which I hope they didn’t!).
I think CW changed things. I’ve been past the 23xL4 mark for about six weeks now and still get Green Star Jar charms and sub 25m coin payouts, but not until later in the evening.
I am curious about cities being ‘maxed out’ - is it down purely to gem value or are there other factors at play?
I presume being maxed out sets a ceiling to what you’ll receive as green prizes or TB contents
So say for instance if you had a huge city for example 500+ buildings worth over 2 million gems but you didn’t have any L4 monuments.
Does the overall gem value mean you’d get the same irrespective of what buildings / monuments are in your city OR does what you have play into your rewards over and above the base city gem value?
Apologies in advance if this turns out to be a “can or worms” question
My understanding is that the “22x L4” rule means either that or the equivalent total value.
Hi @robbie01, Please take a look at the post linked below along with the responses. It should give you a better idea of why you’re seeing lower prizes later in the day. It seems like rewards get throttled once you open a certain number of boxes - similar to what @Elanor mentioned.
Hey @Eddi_Bets, since your city size determines what your treasure boxes pay, “maxing out” means your treasure boxes will all pay at the same established base. Once you hit that point, if all the boxes are smoking (or don’t have guaranteed gems/passes), there is really no reason to pick anything other than the brown box.
Just as an analogy, it’s like spinning the max 10M at slots, before your max out your city, your brown box is betting at 2.5M, the blue at 5M, the yellow at 7.5M and purple at 10M coins, at some point before maxing your city the yellow box will become 10M bet first, followed by blue moving up to 7.5M then 10M, and brown from 2.5M → 5M → 7M → 10M. Once you max out your city you are spinning the slot at 10M on all the boxes.
At that level, the payouts stabilize - coins pay a minimum of 25M-250M, charms will be Mystic Rubies or Luckiest 7s, passes will be 2,000-20,000, and gems will be 1,000-10,000. Of course, you still have to account for the throttling part of it, where you can be dropped down one tier. One tier down is typically 1/2 the amount - so for charms you’d see Golden Apples or Green Star Jars, and for coins (12.5M-125M), gems (500-5,000), and passes (1,000-10,000) you’d get half the usual value. I believe you can get throttled further to 1/4, but I’m not 100% sure yet.
It doesn’t have to be all L4 monuments - as long as your city gem value is around 1.84M, you’ll hit that threshold. Also, green prizes are based strictly on the building tier and aren’t affected by whether your city is maxed out or not.
Today I got 9.7K gems on a 1 hour box…and 17.8K party passes on a brown box. Best day yet so far!! Keeping my HMP active at all times seems to really help.
Nice box pick, @NashRivers! Keep it up and you’ll be in LT1 sooner than you think - impressive pulls for a single day. ![]()
NG, The Whiner forgets you have a better following (or ‘cult’ as it was written).
Great info. Daily “max out” indeed happens. I did an experiment and opened nothing but brown boxes all day for 3 days. Early day through evening, when I did receive a charm, it was the Luckiest 7 and Mystic Ruby. Later in the evening I started receiving only the Golden Apple and Green Star Jars. In all 3 days this was the same pattern without deviation.
