Why do people get LOADS of gems in their TB’s when they don’t purchase? I have purchased many gems these past couple months and get nothing in my TB’s, but a few crumbs. So, is purchasing gems keeping my TB’s from rewarding gems? If so, then that’s just not right! Will I get more gems in my TB’s if I stop purchasing?

Purchasing Gems has no effect on Treasure Box rewards. Building up your City increases the value of your Treasure Box rewards.

to add to what S posted…You can further increase your TB amounts by making sure you are building and/or evolvng every day. This way you are in a constant Honeymoon Period (HMP) and will be rewarded by more lucrative TBs.

Flower Power, you’re not the only one…I’ve bought gems before in past, it’s been several months tho but do however get gems in TB it’s just 1k here and maybe 1.6k or so there. I have to save for month or longer to get a decent size building or to even evolve L3’s-L4’s (used to not be like this) Now it is taking wayyyyy longer to build or add to city thanks to decrease in city values and TB prizes. But what is the point now if the city or TB isn’t going to payout well for adding or evolving.

I keep my city in its HMP period at all times. Last week I got 8.7K in Gems and then 3.9K in gems a couple days later. For my city, its about maintaining the purchase and HMP period as well as staying with Flames and bubbles TB’s, especially when they come with lightning.
Yesterday I got 18.9K in party passes and then 16.3K 4 days before that. Its about building and maintaining your city HMP.
I have not bought gems in many months.
