Just curious if anyone has any idea how many gems (approx.) would a city like muddy waters generate in a day?

There’s an inexplicable amount of jealousy in certain quarters of this site that make it entirely understandable to me why someone wouldn’t make a piece of information like that public.

When I see cities like Muddy Waters, rainman, ect, I do wonder how much they might make each day in coins, charms, PP’s, Gems etc. I dont care to ask mind you but their cities gives me something to work towards. My motto is…if they can do it…so can I! So, little by little I build, evolve, create etc. I’m never jealous, but rather, i see their hard work as testament that it can be done.

It sounds like there is some misconception in expected progression by new players so let me try and clear it up: on this site you progress a certain amount through regular gameplay and you can accelerate this through in-game purchases, this is only limited by how much you are willing to spend.
If you want an example of non pay-to-win progression you can check out my city and profile. I’ve spent a total of $60 on this site - 3 months VIP membership when I first started. Through gameplay progression only (and using all of Night Guy’s awesome tips posted here) in a little over 3 years I’ve earned around 6 trillion coins (crown level 110) and my city size is worth around 5 million gems and is typically about Rank 60.
It would take multiple tens of thousands of dollars in gem purchases to get a city rank significantly higher than this so I’m not bothered about increasing city rank at all. I instead focus more on personal crown level goals at my own pace (which fits in with my life) rather than competing with others in any aspect. Do whatever makes you happy on this site. If buying large amounts gems gives you happiness then go for it - just remember nothing on this site has any real world value.

None of that bugs me near as much as not being able to get stuff others have simply because I wasn’t around long enough. I want a snow tundra theme. I want a tiger pet. But I came after those were offered so I guess I’m never going to be able to get them. That’s different than eventually getting a giant monument city.

I saw some cities with a Willy Nelson building that I would LOVE to have had. But alas, like many, we came along toooo late

Muddy Waters and Rainman are actually the creators of these particular cities. The names are their CW avatar names.
I would also add at this point Muddy Waters was #1 since I joined over 4 years ago; and now is not listed because he decided to let other people have a shot at #1! He still plays, and is a friend of mine! His advise was to constantly upgrade Monuments to the highest tier (23rd tier). Do it as soon as you can and try to go to highest level as fast as you can! Top tier monuments are expensive! But pay forever, everything else times out in a few days! That said I like having a lot of buildings as it pays more consistently!
