Very well said @0_0Vegas_Lady . I remember when I hosted my first party, I felt so out of place. Luckily there were friendly ppl there who knew it was my first party and cheered me on. CW has a great diversity of ppl and they all bring something different to the table!

The resulting Value of those Charms were 22.3M per Set and I got 260 of them from you! I want the MOST from my PartyPasses, this is not it! Never Again! I will do the X3s and lower to keep my PartyPass Value!
And like @Eddi_Bets said, It is the “Luck of the Draw”! But the Averaging to your Charm Collection '“Hurts” LESS on a X2/3 than a X5/10! I have Time to care about that.

@SteveSunset First, Thank you for attending one of my Pony Parties. MUCH appreciated. Second, I save all my ponies each month from the parties I throw, and then in the beginning of the next month, i use them on Mahjong like Im doing now since its the 1st of the month. I am averaging 24.8 million per 5x set of ponies. Im not sure exactly why your amount would be different, but I cant agree that it would be a ‘set in stone’ example of why to not go to 10x parties. SO far, I am averaging 24-25 million per 5x sets each time! But like you said, to each their own!

Thank you all for sharing your opinions and viewpoints; it’s great to hear from everyone. I think it’s important to remember that at its heart, this is a social casino game and we’re all here to have fun.
To be clear, this is just my viewpoint and not a mandate, but let’s just say I’m in favor of hosted parties over non-hosted ones. When I bring this up, I’m mainly referring to the larger, no-host parties, as they often have the most trouble filling up. The smaller ones usually fill up without much issue.
For me, being a host doesn’t come with a list of requirements for my guests. In my parties, for instance, many attendees are quiet, and that’s perfectly fine. I’ll say hello, but I don’t expect a response or for anyone to toss. Contributing to the party meter is a personal choice, not an obligation. If we happen to bust a 5x or 10x party, which happens maybe once a week, it’s just a happy coincidence that the right mix of players was in the room.
Over time, some of those quiet attendees have become my good friends. I want to give a special shoutout to Frankie. She used to be so quiet that many hosts actually blocked her. I never did. For years, she’d come to parties, never dropping charms or gifting, and that was okay. Then one day, after a few years, she started to talk, drop charms, and send gifts (only to a select few). She became a great friend and my go-to person for advanced CW strategy; we discussed and tested so many game variables together. She is a big reason I’ve gotten to where I am in the game. Sadly, she is no longer with us. Thank you, Frankie, for all the chats. You are greatly missed.
Parties tend to attract different crowds, often corresponding to the city tier a player is in. Most attendees in my parties seem to be from Tier 1 or Tier 2 cities. I think we can all relate to “CW fatigue” - that feeling of waiting for large parties to fill throughout the day. It’s what led me to switch from hosting daily parties to weekend-only ones. I found that instead of fewer daily overflows, I can host a big party on Saturday and Sunday with a lot more overflows and save five days a week for other things like TBs, daily challenges and my real life / family. It’s been a great change, and I’ve noticed most of my party attendees are generally the same group from beginning to end.
At this stage of the game for me, it’s more about relaxing, having fun, and catching up with the usual friends who drop by, as well as welcoming new faces.
@papa_meester You’re right, that theory about charm variability came from Red hottie. It’s definitely an interesting take! For anyone curious, she can explain it in more detail. Personally, I’m a bit skeptical, as it seems like an incredibly complex variable for a developer to track and implement. However, I could be swayed if there’s evidence to support it.
@SteveSunset , I noticed you edited your rather confrontational post multiple times. It was interesting how you led with accusations of “greed” before you had even read my wording carefully. Putting that aside, I wanted to touch on the charm values. You might have just been incredibly unlucky or are perhaps focusing on a few instances rather than the bigger picture. To give some perspective, DG has about 153K unicorns and averages 24.68M coins per set of 5. I have about 116K unicorns, and my current average is 24.75M coins per set. Many other unicorn collectors I know see a consistent average between 24.5M and 25M per set.
Also, if my only motivation was getting that extra charm for hosting, I wouldn’t be tossing and gifting in every party - and neither would DG, who co-hosts without receiving that charm at all. We have busted 10x unicorn overflow twice, one after another (eg Overflow #7 and #8), on many occasions. There are weeks we spend far more in gems than the value of all the extra charms we receive. Our focus has always been on the community aspect; otherwise, I wouldn’t be posting all the Casino World tips and strategies instead of just keeping them to myself. On that note, I think many people are confused by your point on “value dilution.” It’s not really dilution, but rather value averaging. The law of large numbers means that eventually, all unicorns will average out to their true value, which is about 25M per set. So, if your party passes are exceeding your ability to use them, why are you so concerned about this averaging effect from larger parties versus smaller ones? It seems contradictory.

I do not Host/Attend Parties unless on a Challenge now! But I know, if I want a Charm, I just make a PARTY? RIGHT? They will come? Any Time? Any Day? 30K to try?
After 2+Years here my PartyPasses are exceeding my ability to use them! This is because I very seldom attend X5, X10 Parties! Those Parties have TOO MUCH of a RISK to “DILUTE” the Value of my Charms in Storage!
I am at a point I do not care about Host/Attending I want X1,X2, and X3 Parties to ATTEND! I could care less about a Host?
We (I) can not survive here without X1, X2, X3 “CommunityService” Parties! And KNOW @Night_Guy When YOU STOP Hosting Parties, Someone will take YOUR Place! I wish could ATTEND the Parties of Others and HELP them get those XTRA Charms?

with all due respect and humility, you alienated 100’s and 1000’s of hosts and guests by saying,
thats wrong, plain and simple, its really quite irrelevant whether you approve, agree or share our sentiments
100’s and 1000’s of people rely and prefer non-hosted parties for a variety of reasons, period
no one should be made to feel inferior, alienated, or labelled in any derogatory manner for preferring a different party format over another, period
a vibrant, healthy and most importantly respectful community thrives on balance and diversity and caters to all hosting styles and all guests styles, period

My viewpoint comes from my own experiences, more towards the larger, no-host parties. How I feel about them doesn’t invalidate how you or anyone else feels, and my personal opinion doesn’t mean other ways of playing are wrong or not allowed.
Your experience may be different, and that’s perfectly okay. My personal stance on this won’t change, but I absolutely respect your opinion and I firmly believe our different perspectives can coexist.

you have a responsibility to choose your words and your experiences very carefully
arbitrarily telling new players that no host parties are draining the fun out of the site and passively sabotaging the party board and taking unnecessary time slots was very very reckless of you.
A person of your calibre should know better
If your personal experiences are going to alienate and cast negativity on the 100’s and 1000’s of members and hosts that find extreme value in no host parties, then perhaps you should keep those opions on YOUR page and not this public forum.

Most are adults and if u feel that alienates ppl well to be honest, too bad. ALL opions are valid, if anyone ASSUMES NG is correct about everyting thats on them. And he has no responsbility to anyone to be clear. He’s just a player like the rest of us. I havent read one thing he said to be rude ,mean or nasty etc. BTW i dont know NG from adam and i also disagree with him BUT, his opinion is just as valid as anyones so lets settle down a bit on being offended, this is not that big of a deal.

Its not detrimental to the health unless ppl are dumb lol.Give folks some credit to be able to read between the lines. And ALL opinions are personal lol wether u think they are right or wrong. yes water is wet the sky is blue w/e, his opinion on the parties isnt wrong b/c some1 doesnt like it.Saying its false is silly, u dont have any evidence to prove that. Prob alot of players who think that way. But im gonna leave it at that lol, i dont believe you and I will see eye to eye on this one. And btw, as u said, all hosts and styles matter, dont like what NG has to offer? dont go to his parties.Problem solved.

when someones personal opinion attacks a certain core group of players and labels them in a derogatory way, then perhaps those personal opinions should be said on their wall and not on a public forum.. any personal opinions that alienates, attacks, or makes any certain group of people look bad, is wrong plain and simple
