This have piqued my curiosity for quite a while.
Before entering the avatar’s city to get to party, I do briefly read their profiles. What stands out the most in quite a few…“tourists not welcomed”
What does that even mean?

Hi bubble_magic, this is just a wild guess as I can’t speak to what someone else puts in their game profile. “Tourists not welcomed” to me means they will not accept new friends that are not a paying VIP or Crown Level on CW. On CW there is “Guest”, “Tourist” and “VIP” status.

As I understand it, some players on CW draw the line at who they will accept as friends, as Smoke suggested. Some draw the line at Tourist and some draw the line farther back at Guest, as I do. Other players might have their own reasons, including that players at less than VIP won’t be likely to contribute to the party charms. My idea is that Tourists are okay. They might continue with CW or they might drop out. But, I draw the line at Guests since they seem more likely to drop out. I’d eventually have to figure out that they’ve left and remove their names from my Friends list. As for tossing charms in the party, I don’t expect it of anybody.

I like everyone. I don’t like excluding tourists. These often include very friendly folks who can’t afford to pay the monthly fee. I never do VIP only parties. That’s me. I do get annoyed by private profiles, but I respect people’s rights to their boundaries.

I look every once in a while and weed out guests based on how long ago they were online - if someone hasn’t been online in a few months I think it’s a safe bet that they’re no longer playing

Now I know why we have the symbol in front of our avatar’s name to know who’s who. Although, I got used to the guests not putting in their share for the party, so I go along with it.

@bubble_magic I personally do not Friend Guest any more (So EASY to GET a NAME). 
Other than that, I will TRY to be Friends wilh anyone! 
And as @Elanor says… In MY Words…Many TOURIST are Friendly Folks (Especially Older, Retired, Fixed Budget, Veterans, ect.) who can not afford to SPEND their Grocery Money here!

It makes me Grin/Smile everyday. It can also make me want to Punch a Hole in a Wall! 
or make me Sad/Cry! 
This CW is MORE than a Fantasy Game to me. It is a Community of “Real LIVE People” trying to have FUN!!! and Enrich their Lives Online with a PC! 
If your Friendships here are Based on how much your “Friend” can Toss at a Party, GUESS WHAT?, I DO NOT WANT TO BE YOUR “FRIEND”!

Very well said Steve! It didn’t really matter to me whom would be in the party, I just go along with however it goes.
I was just worried that I was a tourist and I’d get booted out. That would of been a sad thing to go through.

I agree with the guests, but i don’t know…i just can’t say no to friend request…i feel sad for some reason and that i’m not being polite…that said i may have to check my friends’ list lol
