These decorations are awesome CW! TY! I am assuming that since most are all “medium” that coming soon will be Large ones of various styles.
It will take space in my city, BUT, many of us have been asking for decorations and know that it will take up “some” space. Also, the price point for these are affordable for even the most recent players.

So each of these cost 200 gems. One gives you prizes and adds to your city value, the other does not. Is there any reason the decorations couldn’t just be new buildings? The snowman sums it up best.

Just like the worthless pets Elanor. Another gem “burner” with no value. I for one will not fall for it. If they want me to spend my gems I want something of value for them. Simple concept yes but falls on deaf ears. Party on.

They shouldn’t cost more than about 5 gems each if just decorative. Anything more and people should get buildings instead.
@Samantha , I think there needs to be a way to delete/sell unwanted decorations, with the buildings you can upgrade into monuments, currently decorations you are stuck with forever - I have a stack of 44 rocks burning a hole in my storage.
I’ll be saving my gems to purchase buildings which offer return for the investment

For me, I like the new decorations and the fact they are mostly low-cost so that even newbies can afford them. I know they will take up non-earning space in my city, but there are a few (like myself who originally asked for them) knowing they would have no coin or charm advantage to our cities, but rather, to enhance and decorate our cities in a more creative look. I applaud them in once sense, and accept the non-earning ability in the other. Overall, decorations are always a personal choice,

I think they are going to need a zoo for a decoration so @NashRivers will have a place to put all the Tigers he is eventually going to have!!

I sure hope so!! I am a big tiger fan (Siberian Tigers mostly) and I have been asking about getting a nice tiger for over a year now. I would pay handsomely for one! A nice white Siberian Tiger. Now…if only i could buy him a nice diamond collar too!!!

I haven’t chosen any decorations yet, because I haven’t heard if the problem with city value decreasing issue has been resolved.
Is it that they decrease the value of the city or that they don’t earn green boxes?
I asked Samantha on the previous thread (Decrease in number of green box city rewards - Update or Bug?) and she confirmed that they don’t earn green prize boxes.
@NightGuy said it best. They DON’T pay coins or charms, but they may be considered in the pool of buildings that produce those small green treasures.
As a motivating example, suppose you were going to get 100 green treasures randomly spread over 200 buildings. Now you add 200 decorations. So the 100 might be spread over all 400 spots, but only 50 would pay off, the decorations being dead spots.
This was conjectured by @NightGuy based on an observational comparison of those who built decorations and noticed a drop in Green treasures.

Things might have changed after some players brought it up to Samantha! I haven’t actually bought any decorations myself yet, so I don’t have any firsthand experience with them. My thoughts are really just based on what other players are reporting and my own theories about how the mechanics work. Since Samantha confirmed that they don’t affect the green prizes, definitely take my guess with a grain of salt!
