I maxed out my city a few months ago and was receiving only Luckiest 7s and Mystic Rubies as charms.
Well my last three charms are a Golden Apple and 2x Green Star Jars. Has CW raised the number of monuments needed to max out a city?

@Pokerman I’m curious if you know how many TB’s you opened yesterday in total? I ask because I also got a Green Star Jar late yesterday evening. But it came when opening my 38th TB. I don’t normally open that many, but the last few times when I have reached 35 or more, it seems to give one of those 2 charms. I am not sure if how many TB’s boxes are open on a given day is the reason or something else. Night Guy commented on a similar topic a little while back thinking it was time of day that this seeming downgrade in charm takes place. He might also comment on your subject. That is what I can say and still trying to figure out what triggers this.
Hey @PB234 I did not open many boxes as I was watching football most of the day.
Ok. Thanks for that. Really a puzzle. Maybe someone else with have more thoughts or answers.
@PB234 Spot on memory. That is exactly the theory.
@Pokerman No, they did not raise the monument requirements. There are 3 schools of thought here. One is time-based, likely due to some sort of server optimization or reset. So far, it seems to correspond to the time of day - usually between 5-7pm Pacific Time and 10pm to midnight.
The other is the ‘metrics’ theory in action. FlowPlay likely adjusts the payout odds based on global engagement. You essentially hit a window where the ‘quality knob’ was turned down a bit, swapping your usual L7s/Rubies for the lower-tier Apples/Jars. It should cycle back eventually.
The third is @Elanor’s theory of ‘throttling’. This suggests the system deliberately slows down payouts or lowers reward quality for individual players after they hit a certain win threshold or activity level.
Please take a look at this thread from this post down for the prior discussion.
@Night_Guy Received the Green Star Jar at TB collection number 36 at 11:10pm central time today. 2 days in a row with yesterday receiving it on collection number 38 probably around the same time.
That definitely falls within the window since payouts are locked in as soon as you pick the box. If it was just after midnight Pacific time… did you happen to pick it before 11am Central?
By the way if Flowplay is reading this could we get a feature to use gems to speed up Treasure Box timers? It works great for fishing in 7 Seas, so it would be awesome here too.
YES! I’ve also suggested something similar, especially when I click on the wrong box when moving my mouse.

@ReggiX First World Problem? Isn’t this a forum to discuss CW? We’re not here to solve world hunger…
I’ve passed this suggestion to our teams.
