I always try to keep in mind that my TB is where I get 95% of Gems I need to continue with my Building Program! I suggest you Develop a Building Program that uses the HMP that Constantly SuperPowers your TB 
and rest assured you CAN do it 100Gems at a time! Just use smaller Buildings and KEEP your L3s to get your Daily GoldCards/Wine

TY everyone for posting your experience here, however, mine has not proven to be as fruitful as yours. I have been building my city for 2.5 years now, and the gem accumulation has been dry at best simular to the amount of rainfall in the arizona desert and my patience is as hot as the heat in the desert as well. I have purchased gems, subscribed vip, and even been mooching parties for 2.5 years now and only able to achieve a weak city that never pays any gems. My city consist of 4 tier 15 crystals, 5 tier 10 crystals, 10 tier 7 crystals and all the typical freebee buildings that come with vip rewards and rewards road gem building (tier 6 ) purchases for monument building to keep the city growing. And the Treasure Boxes dont ever pay anything but coins!!! Rarely do they ever pay party passes ( approx 1 out of 20), hardly never do they pay gems ( approx 1 out of 100) and the pay out is usually less than 300 gems more often less than 100. However the charms do come more often than the passes and gems ( approx 1 out of 10 ) . All I know is if CW dont start paying my account some massive gem payouts by the end of the month, I will cancel VIP and they will never get another penny from me again, forever !! Thats it I have had it!! I have been two yrs patient and nothing !! they are taking advantage of daily paying platform users and not rewarding us with any gems to enjoy the platform with. And when I read Jaimee post of only being here for a year and having all those gem payouts and tier 21 crystals and crown level 3 on top of it. Yeah Iām ticked!! Something is amiss. And by the way I have only made it to milestone 58 and never play a game without charms to offset losses and play max bet on solitair games mostly by the wayā¦

I use to use all my gems buying buildings to get my city larger, but then I tried buying more charms when at a party, then Iād seem to get gems thru the treasure boxes more often.
So if youād spend about 50% of your just awarded gems at parties then my gem chances increased greatly.
Iāve played here for a few years now so sometimes Iād purposely attend a beer party where about everyone is a rookie and Iād buy a chopper or two and that would help them out a lot.
You gotta give to get.I know I appreciated it when I was just starting out and someone spent a lot of gems to buy big value charms.

Upgrading my city little by little and now today, i got 4,300 gems from a TB! Highest Party Pass was last week with 13,100 Passes. Month before was 9,900 and 9,100 both in same month.
I watch my HMP and build and evolve about every 3-4 days. Also, I find hosting and going to parties often seem to help my TB pay out a little more.
But, dont ever āupgradeā a building. Your only giving away that building and paying full price for the upgrade.
I upgrade my buildings only when im creating a new monument.

YES! Develop a Constant Building Program. That will keep your HMP on your TB Constantly Improving. Do not spend ALL your Gems in BIG Spurts! I use Smaller Buildings for that.
I usually get party passes from my TB when I wait for the TB with bubbles coming out of them

Same here. I watch for the bubbles TB boxes and especially the bubble or flames with lightning. I have also found that a lot of my flames boxes have given me party passes as well.
So far, the highest gem award for my city was 4.4K last month. Now its about 800-1100 at best and that is when it comes. It dosent show up as often as the party passes do lately.
I usually pick the small TB if nothing shows up and wait for the bubbles or flames TB to show up. Or, if i have the time to wait, i will pick the longest one and let it ride!
