Honeymoon period

I just had a thought about evolving. We all end up with rare monuments we don’t particularly want. Wouldn’t it be a cool mechanic if we could use those spare rares to ‘infuse’ a regular monument and turn it into a rare one during ‘evolving’?

Cool, thanks so I could have a clear out.
Thanks for sharing your strategy, it’s very interesting, however, based on the gems I acquire from the challenge walk and my TBs it’d probably take me a while longer than 11 days …….. but I’ll get there.

@Eddi_Bets, it is a grind, take your time. The timeline is flexible. The main goal is to follow the sequence of evolutions to build the L4 monument. The strict schedule is only for those who want to do it quickly with pre-saved/purchased gems while optimizing the HMP.

@Night_Guy On your methods 2,3: I would probably wait until day 5 to convert the T6 buildings. I want to get all the HMP possible.

Also, it might make sense to stagger the 70000 gem purchase to maximize days of being in the HMP.

I’ve always been a slow grower, and my city is now worth 2.2 million gems, with a lot of rare monuments.

last point: if you see early coin collection opportunity (ECCO), those buildings are still in HMP, like the 42 I have now.

Good catch, @Elanor, and thank you! I’ve updated the post to fix that.

That’s a key strategy you mentioned. It’s definitely a good idea to stagger large purchases to prolong the HMP. An alternative, more event-focused strategy is to save gems specifically for the Treasure Box speedup period. By timing your 15-20 day build to happen during the speedup, you can maximize the treasure box rewards.

Thank you, @Night_Guy. How do I view your details/timelines to your post?

How do keep up with which buildings to evolve on which day?

@Mrs_Lindie: The timeline diagram I mentioned is the second text-based diagram you’ll find under each method table; it’s just another way to visualize the building/evolving process.

@Nunya: An easy way to keep track is to use different areas of your city as placeholders for each step. For example, you can group all “Step 1” buildings in one location, “Step 2” in another, and so on.

@Nunya, to build on @Night_Guy ‘s comment, it may also help to utilize the drop-down in the Monument Building screen (in the upper right-hand corner) and select “Date Added Oldest” to assist in avoiding selecting a unit still in a Honeymoon Period.

Thank you, @Smiling_Jim, for the suggestion on the drop-down in the Monument Building screen!

Thank you for the suggestion. I’ll give it a go and see if I can keep up!!!

Thank you. I’ll use this suggestion also.

I thank all of you for the awesome information for working on your city, but for me, it’s information overload, lol. I’ll just keep building at my steady pace, every 4-5 days, evolving what I can. I’ve been on here about 4 years and so far, I’ve done fairly well. It doesn’t matter to me if I’m top of my group, number one in the charts, or crown level 120, as long as my boxes give me enough gems and party passes to build and share a little at parties, I’m good. I play to have fun and make friends, which is the most important to me.
