@Samantha and others….be forewarned that the recent roll out of Tahoe 26.2 is definitely causing instability with game play (from a graphics perspective)….screen can become pixilated immediately causing a reboot of the game, and this is on a very powerful and new iMac mini pro.
Regards,
After some google searching, the problem may be related to “Spotlight”….go to system settings, spotlight, and toggle OFF “show related content” and “help apple improve search”…..so far so good in CW, I’ve yet to experience yesterday’s graphics problem coupled with the game freezing almost every couple of minutes. This has nothing to do with my earlier post related to “poofing, freezing, crashing” which has been happening prior to me updating my OS yesterday. hope this helps others, I’ll continue to monitor and report back here if the above fix actually cured the problem specific to the mac os Tahoe 26.2 update.
Well….that fix did not last long…..back to the same….just took longer for it to happen.
my equipment might be helpful: Apple Mac mini m4 Pro chip…24gb memory…Tahoe 26.2 os…1gb internet speed.
I was successul running CW for hours without freezing….simply ran the activation monitor to see how closing down extra browser tabs and other CPU intensive processes would affect the game performance and that seems to have been the real helper up to now….Something about the new Tahoe 26.2 update seems to affect this CPU type, perhaps restarting the computer a bit more often may have helped too.. Will continue to monitor and report back.
