The HMP for monuments is only 2 days, so for impatient people like myself, this works better than the 4 day waiting period for buildings.

I think one of the questions asked above is whether the evolution process is randomized, i.e. one color can go to different color when evolved.
I tested one new red T7 monument and evolved it to a T10 monument and it stayed red. The problem is I had an existing T7 monument from the original blue/gold series and that evolved into one of the new chromatic T10 monuments.

That was the same problem I had. I’ve just evolved a red Mesa Crystal and it went to the old green, it seems very random

The bottom line is that the new colors werent needed at all and just screw ppl up. That being said i do like the color options lol. Just let us choose, problem solved. So simple a caveman could do it lol

@Samantha I’m just building a very young city and don’t have a scheme going yet, I like the Chromatic monuments. I think ppl should be able to choose from the old or the new.

@cw2988 my point exactly. I’m trying to complete my evolving to get these last two Tier 15 crystals, but every time I evolve the reservoir crystals to get up to these, I get the new chrome colors. It’s really ticking me off! Please CW, if we’re evolving one color, it should stay with the monuments for that same color!

Just my 2 cents: When buying Tier 6 to evolve from the beginning is when the colors should arise, just like the Gold/Blue and not change colors during any evolvement thereafter. My OCD can’t handle this, lol. I have color schemes and going for a certain design or color, this approach isn’t working at all. @Samantha If we can do this the same as we choose the gold or blue it would be AWESOME. When I evolve a new monument either gold, blue, green, purple, red it changes colors and shouldn’t, as it should stay the same when it’s 1st created. Thinking I’m not going to evolve for awhile and waste gems on a color I don’t want. Hope this changes soon.

I agree with comments on this topic. When evolving the color should remain from what you have chosen on the 1st evolution which is how the Blue/Gold has worked for all this time. For the programming to select some random color to make your next evolve is against how it has worked up to this time and certainly does not help in wanting to end up with your desired color which may not happen now. Please revert to the previous way of evolving.

For me, personally, I am going for the Gold Theme on my city with colorful lower tier buildings.
When I evolve a tier 6 building into a L1, I dont really care or pay attention to the color or the type. I evolve them into L2 regardless. When I get a rare L1, THAT is the one i pay attention to and evolve into the T23. When I evolve the different L1’s into L2’s I use those as random ones to evolve the Rare L2’s into L3’s. that way i can keep my color scheme going. From what I have seen so far, the only color I evolve into as the color of the monument I evolve and not the color’s that are going into it. If that makes sense to everyone.

Have you used some of these new Chromatic in your evolving? I have not yet, but what I am hearing in the thread is people have and unfortunately the game is then changing the end result from what they started with. So though it might start as gold, it morphed into a new Chromatic color when they evolved. If that is accurate then that is not right since you would lose control of what you are trying to evolve in the end.

I havent yet taken a chromatic L1 and used it in the evolution of an L2, but that is coming up in 2 days

Ok, so skipped ahead in my evolution and tried it out. I evolved a gold L2, and used several of the chormattic monuments and it evolved into the gold color i chose to upgrade. So far so good!
