NEW colorful Monuments! (Discussion)

I hope your test is what takes place since I know almost everyone including myself want to choose the path of color in monument building. I will probably make chromatic monuments at some point, but I also have been sticking with gold at this time. Thanks

My test seems to be good so far. I use random L2’s to evolve a rare L2 into a rare L3. From what I understand, whatever monument you choose to upgrade, it will remain in that color style. (gold in my case)

I agree with you! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I can’t wait to see the CityBuildingArt that we will see! :star_struck:

I got some of these and want to know “Rarity”! And I am doing Lots of T6s to see?

I think I am missing some?

It is just NEW Excitement and FUN!!! Like Christmas Presents, TYVM CW! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I really like the new colours and so far all of the level 1 monuments evolved to the correct colour and monument for level 2. I have only evolved one of the level 2s to level 3 and it evolved as expected. The only difference is that it is harder to get a particular type and colour of monument when you first create them.

I am thinking there no “Correct” anything? WildWildWest? I hope I get my set of L3s done, LMAO ? !

Let’s replace the word correct with corresponding colour and the expected monument it usually evolves to. For me, the monuments didn’t evolve into something random.

For my experience, the expected evolving monument did not correspond to what I was evolving. Evolved 3 Arid expecting Space Tower, but it came as a Sky Tower. Evolved 5 Desert expecting Mother T, but it came as a Mother B. Evolved a Ancestral expecting a Cryptic, but it came as a Hidden Crashland. Now a Classic did evolve to the expected Mysterious.

So in my evolving 9 of 10 did not evolve into what was the expected monument. I probably don’t care that they didn’t since I will use them to evolve to L3 later, but now I am not sure my Gold L2’s will evolve to the expected Gold L3. I will see in a couple days.

I was also wondering about Rarity, but I see no warning or indication as we do now with Gold monnies.

So far in my city, my gold L2’s have evolved into gold L3’s despite using choromatic L2’s to use in the evolvement. So far anyways!

I enjoy seeing some new color also. I just would like to see that when you evolve it evolves as you think instead of receiving a possible random other color than expected.

@PB234 I was hoping if when I evolved and used only the old Tier bldgs it would still evolve to the same color scheme. Didn’t happen. I still got a new chromatic bldg. I used 10 Space Tower Crystals hoping to get the purple Gigi Construct Crystal, but instead I got the new green Alpha Construct Crystal. That really stinks! They need to fix this. I’m not building anymore until they do. I’ve been working for months trying to get these built for my city, and now I can’t finish.

I agree they should evolve as they have in the past. The one you choose to evolve should end up as the expected monument. I do hope they take the feedback everyone is listing and make that change.

I was initially shocked by the change, but, now that I think about it I’m excited that I can create a new city design based on the color spectrum. Luckily I kept an example of the 32 existing monuments and I think it might not be possible to get those now. I think this means there is something like 80 monuments to collect between past/present and challenge will be to display all 80 in a single city.

So update to my earlier post. The original monuments are all still available, it could be that there is no longer “rare” variants, there are 20 possible first T7 monuments so I would guess there is a 5% chance for each now - the yellow monuments are still listed as rare but that could be an oversight.

To dispel the earlier confusion from myself and others, all the monuments now evolve along the same color set in the same series (there are 4 series of monuments each with 5 possible colors; red, yellow, green, blue, purple). The original set blue set did not evolve along a single color path and incorporated some green/purple, they have now been split into their respective color set. This is what confused a lot of people with the change, you can still get all those specific monuments if required you just have to start from the correct T7 color and set.

I’ve finally made enough T7 stubs and will begin on the LONG journey of evolution and my long term goal is to have all 80 different monuments displayed in one city.

@Samantha , sorry for jumping the gun earlier - this is a genius idea from whoever thought of this.

@cw2988 It would be wonderful if you are able to compile pictures of your evolution process. That might help understand it more clearly at least for me. That would take some time I realize.

I’m not completing following how evolving an Ancestral Mesa which used to produce a Cryptic Crashland turned into a Hidden Crashland. Though I am guessing the style of the monument remained the same but Ancestral is blue and Hidden is blue while Cryptic was green. Not having all the pictures it is not equating in my brain I guess.

Thanks for your updates as it will help it become clearer.

@PB234 , the 4 series are grouped as shown and the evolution pathway for each of the 5 color sets radiates outward. If you want some of the names you can hover over the buildings in my city. I’ll need over 500K gems to complete and since I don’t buy gems this will take months to finish lol.

@cw2988 Ah thank you. Picture is worth a thousand words as the old saying goes. I also cannot buys gems and my city is progressing but not at your level yet. I will take a further look. Thank you so much.

I’m late jumping on the new chromatic monument bandwagon lol. Thanks so much to everyone who’s contributed to this thread. Very helpful. I made ten L1 monuments today and eight of them were the chromatic ones. They’re so beautiful  Got four red Molten Reservoir Crystals, and was able to evolve one of them to an L2 red Inferno Tower Crystal. I don’t know whether I just got lucky or that CW’s changed the evolution process as so many of you have requested. I totally agree that your evolved monuments should follow along with the same color scheme as the original monument you evolved from. Happy monumenting!

PS: @cw2988 I checked out your city and it’s absolutely breathtaking. You must have spent a fortune to get so many of the new monuments in all four of their stages. Great design job!

@Luck_Is_ALady , it might surprise you to learn I’ve never purchased any gems before, they’re all earned through gameplay. I just carefully manage them and resist the urge to spend on other things, like the recent addition of dragon pets to the party meter for example. I am a sucker for new city design opportunities though.
