I agree that a host should always be able to attend their own parties but maybe pay an extra fee for being late maybe. But Goose is right, if a host is late, everyone else could bust the party for them and that doesn’t seem quite fair. I’m on the fence here about this one lol

There should be a reserved spot for the host at any party. That’s how it would work in the real world.

@Cathylee I do disagree with the idea of a host having to pay a fee for being late. The host already paid a fee to set up the party, either in coins or gems. Attendance is optional, either on time or otherwise. If the host is late, that is, arrives after the openers are distributed, then the host does not get the 25x charms from the openers. The host gets no benefit. In that way, the host already pays a special fee by not getting anything in return to offset the cost of setting up the party. We don’t need CW to start levying fines on us for not being at a certain place at a certain time even if we did set the time. We have a tough enough time just trying to beat the odds in the games on here. Good Luck!

As for players hijacking parties, when I set up a party and get ready to attend, I usually go in several minutes early. Almost always, the room is empty when I arrive or at most will have maybe two or three other attendees. I hadn’t heard of the concept of hijacking parties until this. As in real life, we can expect to get all kinds of activities in here that a person can devise.

I don’t mind no host as long as the party is a success and you get the charms. Though I don’t know why a person would schedule and not attend since they do not get the charms just for scheduling the party. Seems like if you are going to spend 30K you would want to get the charm rewards for your money.

@PB234 Sometimes, and its happened to me a few times, when I schedule a party for an hour ahead, life will happen and will take me from my computer at that time. It happens.
