Pictures get saved out of order

This has happened to me twice, once tonight and another time in May of this year. I went to a celebration party in May, and tonight, a wedding, where I took many pictures of the event, not knowing which ones I would actually want to save in my album. In both cases I took 10+ pictures, but only ended up keeping about half of them, removing the ones I didn’t want before saving the rest. I don’t have time to check the pictures during the party, so have to do it when it’s over.

However, these pictures aren’t getting saved in my album in the order they were taken Celebration parties, especially weddings, have an order of events that I want reflected in the pictures I save. To have pictures of things that happened at the end of the party coming before those at the start is totally undesirable when you’re trying to memorialize an event. It apparently has something to do with taking 10+ pictures and then only saving some of them.

Please fix this, as it’s very disappointing to go back in your album to remember the event when the pictures don’t follow the event’s timeline correctly. In the meantime I guess the only solution is saving all the pictures I take during a special event, and deleting the ones I don’t want
afterwards :frowning:

I had this happen again last Saturday, while taking pictures in a private poker game that I co-host, but it was a different situation. I took a picture early in the game, saved it, and then a series of shots, where I select only one to save a bit later. The 2nd pic showed up in my album before the first one.

The 1st pic is of a big winning hand, which only requires a single shot. The 2nd pic is a group shot, which I always have to take a number of times to get everyone with their eyes open. I may shoot it anywhere between 1-10 times before I get one I want to save and all the rest are deleted. I’ve done this quite a few times previously when a big hand happens before I get the group shot, but never had the two pics saved out of order before.

This doesn’t really sound like a huge concern.
Aren’t picts saved with a Time Stamp and you can rename them?
Who would really care in what order they are saved?

@ReggiX, pictures here are saved with only a date stamp, not a time stamp. There is no naming or re-naming them. Maybe you meant to say you can re-arrange them, but you can’t do that either. If you could, it wouldn’t be a problem. You can have a short description under each one, which can be edited anytime. It sounds like you haven’t actually taken any pictures here, and are only familiar with those taken with a phone or digital camera, rather than the old fashioned way with a film camera. Pics were developed from the film and placed in a physical album in any order you wished.

It’s a big deal because when I’m taking pictures of a celebration, like a wedding or a trillionaire party, I want to show the story of what happened from the beginning to end. It should be the same as if you were putting pics in an old fashioned album IRL. The pic of rice being thrown at the newlyweds should not come before the one of the bride walking down the aisle before the ceremony.

In the pics I’m talking about, the CW wedding was held on Moonlit Beach. Afterwards we all changed into bathing suits for the after party, but in my album, I have a pic of us in bathing suits mid wedding, and then in the next one we’re back in our formal wear again.

I joined CW in October 2021 and have taken lots of multiple pics at parties, but never had them saved out of the order until May of this year, at a trillionaire celebration I hosted.
