Take a second. Think about it. It costs the same amount of gems or passes to enter yet you only get HALF the charms because of turbo. Is it really a deal? Just saying.

@GoldNugget - I suppose you are referring to the charms that others drop. I would think the point of Turbo Day is for those who want to “bust” the party for a chance at the final prize, which can be pretty significant - I’ve seen it as high as 8,000 gems.
It normally takes 4,200 gems per attendee to bust a Tier 7 party. On a Turbo Day (assuming it’s 2x), it would only take 2,100 gems, and you get the party meter prizes much faster.

It gives you a slightly better deal because you’re getting the same party buster rewards, but at half the cost. The rewards in the bar are NOT cut in half just because the required gems to get to that given checkpoint are cut in half. Yes, it’s a slightly better value for your gems, but not much.
p.s. You do get less charms, but you don’t lose value. Let’s say on a normal day, the toss is 2,000 gems, but on turbo, it’s 1,000. Yes you get 25 less charms, but you’re also saving 1,000 gems, and you can just use those 1,000 gems to go to another turbo party. When you buy one, you still get 25. It’s just that the required toss per guest is cut in half. You still get the same 1:25 ratio when buying a charm. Don’t be mislead.

Even on Turbo Days, I generally advise against busting parties. The main reason is that your gems go so much further when you use them to upgrade your city.
Growing your city gives you a much bigger return on investment over time than party charms ever could. It really comes down to the classic choice of instant gratification versus continuous, long-term benefits. Building up the city takes a little patience, but the continuous payout is totally worth skipping the party busts.

My answer was based off of VW, so I can see how we have different reasonings. VW doesn’t have cities, so charm parties are the main way that VW players get their coins. 2x Turbo Day is an “increased value” event in VW because we get the same party buster rewards at half the cost. I have no doubt that your CW City answer is correct in terms of CW.
You may ask why I’m typing here instead of VW Forums. Well, the answer is simple. VW players aren’t as serious/analytical/competitive as you CW folk are. I try talking to them about the analytical/mathematical side of the game, and they all ignore me and think I’m crazy. Therefore, I come here for more in-depth conversations, because many features are the same between both games. So yes, there might be times where I say something that is correct in VW terms but is not entirely correct in CW terms, and I apologize for the mistake now and for any future occurrences of these small mistakes.
