You should show the list of who the members are in each group to help people decide if they want in that group. Before they pay gems to join and then finding out everyone you can’t stand is in that group. Lol..

The good news is, you don’t have to pay to join a crew, only the person who starts the crew pays gems to get it up and running, but I do get what you are saying. Recipe for lots of drama

I’ve recently discovered that you can see the members after you join the group. If it’s full people you don’t like, it’s easy to leave. Just click the settings widget at the top and you are free!

Strongly agree with what all the posters in this topic have said. For public crews that aren’t invite only, players should be able to see the owner’s name and the members to decide whether or not it’s a group they want to join. I think it causes embarrassment if you have to join first just to see whether you feel comfortable with the owner and other members. Then if you don’t feel good about the group you have to quit, causing more embarrassment, especially if you get asked why are you quitting.
The owner and crew need to be able to see the contributions from all members of the team, not just the top 5.

I disagree with the need to see the contributions of all the crew members. It would open this up to unnecessary drama and people getting kicked out of crews for not meeting someone else’s imaginary line. Who am I to say that someone who’s MS40, for example, is not contributing enough when compared to someone who’s 100+ crowns because they were at the bottom of the list? How many times has there been drama in parties because someone felt others weren’t tossing enough? We don’t need a crew version of potential drama. A top five list is enough. I trust my crew is contributing what they can with the resources available to them (gems, coins, party passes, charms) and the time constraints of balancing real life with a game. More information is not necessarily better.
On the other hand, more information before joining a crew would be nice. I agree with being able to see who the members are without having to join first. And a leaderboard for the crew as a whole would be nice. To be able to see how well one crew does in comparison to other crews in completing the goals would be a much friendlier competition.

@LA_13 , only having the Top 5 contributors listed is already causing drama. We have a star contributor in our crew which is great for us, but is making the other members concerned about their own performance. I’ve had to spend a lot of time reassuring them. The kind of people who kick members out of their crew for not contributing enough are going to do that anyway. Those are probably the same people who kick people out of parties for not tossing enough.
What you said about trusting your crew members to contribute what they can is almost exactly the same wording I used in our crew description. I won’t kick anyone out of our crew for low performance, only for disruptive behavior which I hope we won’t have any of.

Ok, I tried a crew. Lasted maybe 2 days at best, got kicked out. Now the group isn’t even listed. Maybe the Crew creator deleted the Crew?
I haven’t run into any drama over a top 5 list. Personally, I would prefer to think that maybe I’m number 6 or 7 versus seeing that I’m bottom 5 or something. Each crew is of course different so maybe what we should be asking for is a way to customize what’s shown. Toggle on/off, display top 5, top 10, display all, etc.
I do feel like this first event was very much geared towards favoring the higher level player who can place higher level bets. The next event involving parties will hopefully give us a more even ability to contribute regardless of level.

I want to go other way and not even show the top 5. Our crew is designed to be collaborative, not competitive.
Maybe best would to have a toggle option:
- Show Top 5
- Show All
- Show None
