Changed the display of charms

I have found that if you arrange the charms alphabetically, after you load the initial 4 sets, the charm will stop moving in the chart. Still aggravating, but not like having to chase those unis through the charm maze!

Still moved for me…and doesn’t help if I want to load Mystic Rubies and Luckies 7s which are traditionally next to each other.

This change has made the game unplayable. So I won’t. I’ll keep collecting TB’s and city coins, but no need to spend time playing games.

ā€œOne more thing:ā€ (Columbo)
I never need Newest First and I never need Alphabetic arrangement. I need high clovers to low and might eventually use low to high on occasion.

I would LOVE it, if they would give us the ability to buy multiple buildings at one time! But….if they can’t (or won’t) do that, what about putting a ā€œmost recent building purchaseā€ at the top of the Building Store. That way, if we want to keep buying the same one, we dont have to scroll down every time we want to buy 40, 50 buildings at one time. Any thoughts?

I concur. Experienced users should be able to test new features/new enhancements prior to go-live production. I cannot believe CW allowed such a bad idea to be implemented. Such a terrible feature. The new charm feature makes me dizzy.

The new charm feature makes me dizzy with the constant movement of the charms. I loathe it (and will not play as much). OMG!

I was hoping I would wake up this morning and find this rolled back.

I have found the new charm store an irritant when playing on my PC but I just tried it using my mobile phone - talk about hamstrung!
Well I won’t be doing that again, so no more playing when I’m on the move

The idea of being able to change how charms are displayed is not a bad idea. However, the design has not been thought through. Setting the default to Newest was not a good idea, and quite honestly I can’t even see what benefit you get by viewing them that way. At the very least the default should have been set to High to Low (its original sequence). That would have drastically reduced the number of complaints. Ideally, you should be able to check your preferred sequence as a permanent display and not have to change it every time.

I found that if you choose low to high you don’t get the charm movement

But once those charms are used and you go back to select more, it is back to Newest First. No matter what you choose, it goes back to Newest First. Need an quick update to get this back to Highest to Lowest so we can possible stop talking about it.

I would like to know why we are not getting any response from anyone at CW on this issue. There’s so many of us asking for this to be fixed. @Samantha please let us know if CW is going to fix this. This change is not something we wanted, and the way it works at this point makes playing with charms so difficult. Please respond. Thank you.

Loading tons of charms is the worst … hate this.

Loading more than 4 sets of charms have always gone back to the charm manager. The difference is that they used to go back to the bottom of the manager whereas now they go to place in accordance with the charm sequence you have selected. I tried something out with each sequence. I loaded 4 sets of unicorns and then observed that happened when you loaded a 5th set, When using High to Low or Newest the set returned to the charm manager was placed before the charms you were loading from which moved the charms loading from one place to the right, really annoying. Using Low to High or Alphabetical returned them after after the charms you were loading from so the cursor remained where you wanted it. Certainly looks like CW has done no usability checking on this feature before releasing it or these issues would have been found.

The feedback for the Charm Manager sorting change has been passed along to our teams. They are currently looking into what they can do. For now, that’s all the information I have.

@Samantha Thank you and obviously many players will hope a fix can be made.

I don’t play my main game (3-card poker) every day, but when I do, I load up hundreds of bats and other high-end charms so I can just keep playing until I run out. Well, when I try loading the bats now, after four or five loads, they keep pushing the main stash away from my pointer. I have to chase that main load and click it for each five bats I want to put into play. HOW CRAPPY!
I was thinking about this, yesterday, and how it might have come about. From its result, I wondered if the programmers had a special meeting and put their minds to the question: ā€œHow can we devise something that would not only p** off some of our subscribers but would p** off every last one of them, even newbies who have no knowledge of how good it was before?ā€
I do appreciate you @Samantha and all you do on here. I also appreciate all who work at WordPlay to make this whole program work with so few errors. I’ve worked with much worse.
I hope that with this comment I have lived up to this quote: ā€Never give a person a dollar’s worth of blame without a dime’s worth of praise.ā€ –LeRoy P. Hunt (copied from Franklin Planner’s daily quote Nov 21)

Use Low to High or Alphabetical. That problem does not occur
