Yeah People say “Build your City”, but my advice is wait for CW to give you Building Bux and the occasional Building.
IMO the best Buildings to buy are CityView Hotels (Tier 6) for 1.25M Building Bux. 2 of them will upgrade to a Tier 7 Monument.

Gm Taz .. this is jus my opinion take or leave is up to u::: I sat buld city views { cv’s} for your city as many as u can afford and moniment/evolve them after 4 or 5 days into a level 7 then replenish your stock to me anthing less then level 6 is a waste of ur building bucks n gems.. High roller= higher bets thus higher wins yet higer loss’s as well..so what u comfy with works your city is your biggest assect build it as best u can reah your next Ms or Crown levels n jus enjoy the games

What to build for your City is also a matter of preference also. I like my City and have built certain buildings because I like them. Not everything has to be about what you can most efficiently blow up to make Monuments. But if you don’t care about such things then build Tier 6’s and only Tier 6’s and blow everything up. I personally am not interested in a Necropolis of Monuments.

If you don’t care about rapid growth, you don’t have to spend real money on the game. Here’s the cheapest way to do it:
Save your gems for building your city. When you get 50 gems, buy a level 6 building. Building your city will improve what your receive. Later on 2 tier 6 buildings can be combined for monuments.
Go to parties to get charms. Find parties that don’t require you to spend gems, like grab-and-go.
Make sure you collect daily 1 free gem, and free powerups from Fringo, Dragon MahJong, and Lilypond Solitaire.
Play games to finish challenges. Use charms on games. If you want to play without charms, then only play games where a player has an advantage. I know for me that means Blackjack, Dragon Mahjong and Jewels of Osiris.

There are many ways to play on this site, and everyone is entitled to choose the one(s) they prefer. However, if you want to move forward without spending a lot of money, virtually every successful player here will tell you to build up your city starting as soon as you can. I wish someone had explained that to me when I started here 4 1/2 years ago. It’s a lot easier if you can afford to be a VIP, but it can be done without VIP, just takes longer and playing smarter.
Building your city up is like investing in the stock market, except you’re guaranteed to get a return on your investment. It’s how you increase your coin income, and the amounts of gems, passes and higher level charms that you get from your city and in your Treasure Boxes. Emphasize quality (higher level buildings) over quantity. In other words, a big city composed of low level buildings is worth much less than a smaller city with mostly high level buildings and monuments.
from what I have been told, and what i have noticed on my own city, it is not the number of buildings or the type, but the amount of over-all gems invested in the city that triggers the reward levels on your TB boxes.
For example: I can have 25K gems invested in a large number of small buildings, or, invest it all in ONE large building. My city does not care what buildings I have, but rather, the over all gems invested.
Growing and evolving your buildings helps you save space in your city. How it was orginaly designed. The more you buy, the more you will need to evolve to make room.
Thus: 25K in buildings does not matter what buildings you have. Its the 25K that is added to your city gem count. That is what determinse your TB payout, coin and green prize box payout as you build
