Do certain hosts “own” time slots?
I hosted a party this morning, and another player messaged me that I was in his “regular” slot, and that I should check the schedule before hosting. I saw his party, and I didn’t want his charms, so I hosted my own. Isn’t that allowed?
You tell them to kick rocks lol,no1 owns any time slot. I wouldnt worry about it at all.
Wait…Do you mean that besides thinking he somehow is entitled to a special timeslot all to his lonesome, he didn’t even offer the same charms as you? That’s crazy.
The only reason to check the “schedule” at all is if someone has already scheduled a party similar to the one you’re considering (same charms) it may be more challenging for you, or even both of you, to get the needed 25 people.
Other than that, yeah what Capt said previously.
Many times daily there are several different types of parties scheduled at the same times as others. Pick the ones you like or can afford. Variety is the spice of life.
Party times are free for all, there are no monopolies, but smart hosting involves some etiquette. Running a duplicate high-value party (like a ~5000+ Gem/Pass party) against another host usually backfires. Since these parties have a higher buy-in, the pool of players is smaller; splitting that crowd just means nobody wins. You might struggle to fill your room, or it will take much longer than normal and risk the party ending automatically if it doesn’t fill within 30 mins.
Personally, though? It doesn’t make a difference to me. Players will ultimately vote with their feet. I find it petty to complain to other hosts about it, provided they aren’t doing it intentionally.
Seriously?? Sounds pretty ridiculous to me.
I enjoy this site immensely and this forum; there are some utterly fabulous people here but with regard to things being ridiculous @suebird my advice to you would be never underestimate the power of people being able to make you think “wtf”
Oh, not much surprises me anymore. Just shaking my head over the ‘entitlement’ mentality.
@Night_Guy lol, you said it better then me, i’m too straight forward lol.
