I had fun. It was something new. I enjoyed meeting new players. I really liked how my team worked together -I heard a crew had one member earn $521,000,000 that isn’t teamwork to me- that is “just hold on” for the ride of your life- I cannot figure out how that player earned so much money in one session-blows my mind -and I liked the prizes in the end-it was like adding sprinkles to my sundae (my journey). Life is just too short to not see the good and enjoy the ride.

Definitely agree. A Tier 7 is, like you said, disappointing.

I have no problem with a Tier 7 building. It pays coins in return and it better than a charm. Now some of the other rewards are not so exciting, but I also think there are many players that this concept will help them obtain more Milestones and future VIP for Life which I know I didn’t have when started playing the game. Since we play this game, it is another simple avenue to gain some more rewards by just adding all of the coins I would have spent to play anyway plus adds in the charms payouts, that is another benefit. That’s my opinion of this feature.

I agree with RubyTuesday. This Crew idea is completely beneficial and has no drawbacks whatsoever. Everyone should join a crew.

I would have bet the same coin amount on games over the last week whether in a crew or not. Any amount of rewards to me was a bonus.

I’m loving the Crew Challenges. Had so much fun at parties yesterday, however seeing one of this morning’s challenges was attend a successful party, I didn’t know whether to puke or laugh lol

I have held off commenting until I was more familiar with the crews process. To me, it is more of an extra than a serious competition. The top 5 really do not make a difference, and as some suggested, turning it off might be better since it could cause people to worry that they have not contributed enough. Top 5 is the least of my concern.
I tell everyone to play the way they have always played, not to worry about the progress, and that we will get there when we do, and if we don’t, it doesn’t really matter. The rewards leave a little to be desired anyway and will not make much of a difference.
A few notes about crews: you have to be in the same room as the person you are trying to invite for it to work. I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but I am leaning towards it being one. If that is CW’s intention, then we should not have an option to invite someone if we are not in the same room. Additionally, event prizes are earned only if you were part of the crew before the event starts. That means if you joined after an event started, you have to wait for the end of that event, and you will only be able to claim prizes when the next event ends.
I think everyone should treat this as an extra feature and not put too much into it; it is not worth the prizes it offers or the drama it could create. Just have fun, play the way you always have, and enjoy the little extra prizes it offers!

Night Guy – My husband joined a crew close to the end of the event… not before it started. He got ALL of the prizes on the prize list and was only there a couple of days before it ended. Again, not before.

I stand corrected! According to the official New Feature: Crews Q&A, you just have to be part of the crew and participate in the active event to be eligible for the rewards, and as long as you contribute a little after it starts, you are good to go.
My test was based on joining after an event’s goals had already been reached while the event was still active - since we usually finish the previous and current ones on the first day. Because you can no longer contribute once the max goal is hit (for instance, once all 1,000 successful parties are completed and extra parties stop adding to the total), it seems like anyone who joins after that point misses out.

I think it is just a fun activity and as it has been mentioned, it is not like the prize rewards are top of the line. Though anything extra helps in the end. It also gets people more excited to reach a goal. Party attendance has been crazy with Party Spree! So I am just trying to remind myself to have fun with it and get some additional prizes we as a team worked together on that I would not have received on my own. Those rewards are a bonus for playing like you normally do and because you joined a Crew. Random thoughts. LOL

The Latest on Crews: There is a bunch of consolidation. Kind a like Wal-Mart putting the little mom and pop stores out of business. Head hunting like corporate recruiters. I see the Benefits for sure to the larger teams. I can see a few mergers in the future and maybe a few take overs like Richard Gere in “Pretty Woman”. LMAO. We R 5 " Team Atlantis" solid group always making goal and some times Stretch especially on Volume. I Luv my Crew…

I didn’t see @Night_Guy’s post or the other remarks about collecting rewards here until today. I know now Samantha said in the topic NG mentioned that crew members who join after an event is finished aren’t eligible to collect prizes. That does make sense, but wasn’t true for my crew for the August Coin Event.
We completed the stretch goal in 6 days on August 26th, with only 6 members. We added 9 new crew members after that. I believe 7 of our 9 new members were able to receive some or all of the prizes, even though they didn’t contribute. The last two joined on the evening of August 29th and didn’t receive any rewards. I’m happy that most of my crew members were able to collect rewards, even though they weren’t able to contribute to the event since it was finished when they joined. Probably just one more of the infamous CW glitches, that shouldn’t be happening and maybe won’t happen again.

There are around 5 avatars that joined 2 weeks ago and haven’t been back on. It would be nice to open these 5 spots up for someone that actually wants to join a crew and play. Is this possible??

What I have learned 2 weeks in to the New Crew App and why such turn over. First and for most 25 person public crews. Folks start this crew to increase chances of achieving Stretch goals and because it was new. This is the old safety in numbers approach. If U end up with a great crew 2 begin with U beat the odds and chances R U had a large friend group ready to join. Troubles, the attrition in this large group can B extremely high. Owners displacing what they think R under performing avatars to replace with others. Secondly, because it is a public crew by the time they replace those members several others have taken their place thus the group is in the same position it was. Third, their top members R head hunted by large 25 person Private crews and 2 a small extent 5 person crews either public or private pulling friends together. This higher turn over ratio along with the either poaching or abandonment can create Trust issues in both Public and Private 25 person crews. BOTTOM LINE: Even when you R replacing a member treat them with respect. It just takes a moment to Inbox a person your reasoning. Yes, they deserve it. Then follow up with them in a few days ask them if you can help them get in a good public crew or perhaps a private U know needs just such a person. Most of them R happy to have a chance to grab the bonuses from the crew app. If U look at my other post it will help U help them to find a solid second chance crew. It’s just the Right way to do something. Trust me on this 1 U will keep a friend and improve your own crews thoughts about U and morale if they know U treat others in a way U wish 2 B treated.

I think if owners are recruiting big players just to all join 1 Mega team it is kind of silly. So far the events can be completed by having a variety of members basing this on the Crew I am in. We have a nice combination of Crown and Milestone players (it is a public crew filled at 25). Think about these events and how it can help those Milestone players possibly reach their next Milestone and hopefully VIP for Life like the big players already are. And with the rewards not being spectacular, why stack a team just to get those event rewards when you get more than that each day already. If a Crew was winning say a L4 Monument when it makes the stretch goal or we were getting thousands of Gems, then my thought might be different. But no reward has been close to that.
That is my opinion.
