Thank you Elanor for bringing up the settings for crews. I tried to join one, got told I got, quote “kick off” because it was only for VIP and I wasn’t. Not that great of a feeling…even for some ridiculous imaginary crew.
@Vogue You bring up some great points about the churn and dynamics right now.
In my opinion, everyone should remember that Crews are really just an added bonus - the rewards leave a bit to be desired anyway, and they aren’t substantial enough to take the whole thing too seriously or stress over.
When it comes to 25-person public crews, high turnover and getting booted is unfortunately just the nature of the beast, especially when the owners are pushing for stretch goals. If people want more stability and less drama, their best bet is either teaming up with friends to form their own crew or seeking out an invite-only private one where expectations are aligned from the start. Treat the prizes as a nice little extra on top of your normal play, and have fun with it!

I was booted from a crew because the ‘owner’ thought a comment I made was ‘negative’. I was in the top five. Ridiculous.

For the low end rewards, how can anyone take it so seriously, and be so competitive for..what…5 party pass? 6 gems?..SMH
I am on a crew but i just play as i play. Its’ not worth losing sleep over

Exactly. My team goes from Milestone 25 to CL 94 and we’re already halfway to finishing this 14 day event in two days time. There’s no reason to stack a team unless the stretch goals keep getting larger each time around. And is it really worth it for tier 7 buildings.

There is no drama in our crew. We are fun, cooperative and encouraging. We are just a bunch of girls who just play our normal game and easily get the rewards. No one cares who earns the most or least. I’m grateful some of the newer players get the rewards that may help them. I put up the 1100 gems to make the crew because I have a lot of gems - and I get joy from helping new people. For example, we have someone who is just MS25 - a level 7 building is wonderful for her!

Crew owners, could you let me know if anyone who joined after your team completed the recent Party Spree was able to claim the prizes? If what @Samantha says in her FAQ is actually being done now, any member joining after the event’s goals are met wouldn’t be able to collect the prizes. As I said previously my crew completed the 1st Coin Event early, then brought in some new members who didn’t participate. However, all but one were able to collect the prizes. I can’t tell from the Party Spree event whether that happened again, because we didn’t add more members after our crew finished the event.
I’d like to know about this because our crew completed the 2nd Coin Event with 11 days to go, and would like to add some new members If what the Crew FAQ says about who’s eligible to collect the prizes is now in effect, I think we probably need to wait until a couple of days before the next event to add anyone else.
@Samantha it’s confusing for new members and frustrating for the rest of the team to go to the events page and have it default to the 1st crew event instead of the current one. It’s good that existing crew and new members are able to look back and see what the crew previously accomplished, so don’t take that away, just have it default to the current event initially.

Luck as long as U haven’t completed the stretch goal yet. The New member must contribute to the goal B4 the stretch is achieved. So, if U bring a new member in and they don’t contribute at all they will not get any prizes.
It could get a bit tricky if U R close to your stretch. Say U bring on 5 new members in party spree and all 5 of them go to a party at the same time but U only needed 3 to make stretch. Maybe 1 member on your current team went to a party as well. Some one could B left out from contributing and thus would not B prize eligible. However, U should not incur that issue since 1 of your members told my friends U decided not to hire any more. Hope this helps.
This is being fixed in the update on 9/14.
@Samantha are you saying the Event tab defaulting to open at the 1st Event is being fixed, or crew members who didn’t participate in completing a goal won’t get prizes or both?
The event tab not automatically opening to the current event has been fixed.

A few days back, I started getting crew alerts that look initially like you have something new in your Inbox. I have no idea why because if you go to the crew nothing has changed, It’s really annoyimg
Has anyone won a jackpot during the Crew slot thing?
Can’t win a Jackpot even without the crew thing! LOL!..been here 2 years and have yet to even come close to winning a Jackpot

Should staying online be the absolute minimum? What happens to the rewards for a member who logged on at the start of a challenge and stayed logged off for 30 days? Are they rewarded for every challenge their crew reached in the last 30 days?
